Their name, the nicknames you used, and what kind of animal they are.
How you found each other: the shelter, the litter, the stray on the porch.
Their habits: the greeting, the spot on the couch, the sounds they made, the stolen socks.
Favorite places and routines: the walk, the car ride, the sunny window.
What they gave you, and what you would say to them now.

Five star tips for pet tribute songs.

These are the choices that most often make the difference between an okay song and one you want to play again.
