What to include in your wedding song story.

You don’t need to be a writer, and you don’t need to tell the whole story. Choose the moments that say the most about the two of you. Think about:

  • How you met, and the moment you knew.
  • The proposal: where it happened, what was said and who was nearby.
  • What you love about each other that other people might not notice.
  • The people and places in your wedding story: the venue, the town, family who can’t be there.
  • What you are promising each other, in your own words. One honest sentence is enough.

Put the wedding date in the “Anything extra you’d like to see end up in the song” box. If a name is hard to pronounce, or there is something to leave out, say so in that same box.

Five star tips for wedding songs.

These are the choices that most often make the difference between an okay song and one you want to play again.

  • Say who the song is from and who it is for. A song from the couple to each other sounds different from a gift to the couple from a parent or friend. Say which it is in your first sentence, and give both first names.
  • Pick one or two moments, not the whole timeline. The proposal at the airport or the night the power went out on your first date gives the song more to work with than “we met, we dated, we married.”
  • Include the small things only people close to you would know. A nickname, the song you argue about, the dish you always cook. These are the lines people remember.
  • Say how it should feel. A slow, gentle song suits a quiet gift or a first dance. A joyful, upbeat song suits a party. Choose a Mood/Style (Tender, Joyful or Loving) and add a line to your story if you want something specific, such as “tender, not sad.”
  • Spell out the names. Give both first names and any hard-to-say family names, and write how to pronounce them in the “spoken, sung or played” box (for example, “Niamh is NEEV”).
  • Allow time before the day. Previews usually take about 5 minutes. You can buy a full song for up to 14 days after your previews are made, and corrections must be requested within 24 hours of buying, so don’t leave it to the night before.

General or specific?

The AI writes from the details you give it. General lines give it little to work with; specific ones give it something to sing.

GeneralWe are so happy to be getting married.
SpecificHe proposed in the airport parking lot because he couldn’t wait until the plane landed.
GeneralOur families are coming together.
SpecificYour dad taught my grandfather to play cribbage, and they still argue about the rules.

A short example.

This example is invented, for illustration only. Your own story will be different, and that’s the point.

Occasion
Wedding

Their name / Your name
Ana and Luis / Marisol

Your story
Ana and Luis met on a delayed flight to Denver in 2019 and split a bag of pretzels at gate B12. Four years later Luis proposed at the same gate, with the ring tucked inside a pretzel bag. Ana hums when she cooks. Luis burns the toast every Sunday and calls it dark roast. They are getting married at her grandmother’s ranch outside Tucson, and her abuela Rosa will be in the front row. I’m Ana’s sister, and I want to give them this song.

Your message
Here’s to a lifetime of shared pretzels.

Spoken, sung or played
The wedding is October 12. Ana is AH-nah. Luis is loo-EES. Please work in “gate B12” if it fits.

Genres, mood/style, instruments and singer

What to leave out.

  • Other people’s private business. Past relationships, family disagreements and anything a partner or relative hasn’t agreed to share. By sending the form you confirm that you may share the story.
  • Jokes that could sting. A wedding song may be heard by everyone in the room. Skip anything a family member wouldn’t want sung in front of their relatives.
  • Addresses and logistics. Venue street addresses, guest lists and phone numbers. Your story is sent to a third-party AI service to create the music.

Giving your song.

Play it at your own wedding, send the link with a card, or add it to a video or slideshow you make yourself. Your downloaded copy is for personal use and you can’t earn money from it. A photographer, DJ or planner using it in paid work, or any use in advertising or a business project, isn’t allowed; see how you can use your song. Giving it as a gift or a surprise? Use your own email address in the form and share the song when you’re ready.

How it works.

  1. Tell your story.Share the names and memories that matter. You must be 18 or older to order.
  2. Hear two free previews. They are generated automatically by AI and emailed to you, usually in about 5 minutes, sometimes up to 10 minutes. Nobody at the studio reviews them first, so please check names and details when you listen.
  3. Buy the full song if you love it.A full custom song is $19.99 USD. It runs between two and three minutes, short enough to share easily on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and arrives as a download link by email.

Questions about wedding songs.

Can I use the song for our first dance?

You can play it at your own wedding, as long as you don’t earn money from it. Full songs run between two and three minutes. Listen to both previews well before the day: nobody at the studio reviews them first, and AI can mispronounce a name or misread a detail.

Can I order a song as a gift for a couple?

Yes. Put both first names and who the song is from at the top of your story, use your own email address, and send the song when you’re ready. Check with anyone whose private life the story involves.

Can the song include our vows or a favorite phrase?

You can add words or phrases you’d like worked in. The lyrics are original and written from your story, and phrases are used where they fit, not always word for word.

Is the song made by real musicians?

No. Your song is generated by a third-party AI music service from the story you send. Nobody at the studio writes, performs or reviews it before you hear it, so please check names and details in both previews.

What does a wedding song cost?

The two 60-second previews are free, with no payment and no obligation to buy. A full custom song is $19.99 USD, and you can buy it for up to 14 days after your previews are made.
